Study on Effect of YWT on VEGF and MVD Expressions of Ectopic Endometrium in EMs Rat Model

Abstract

Objective:To observe the mechanism of YWT(Yiweitang) in inhibiting EMs(Endometriosis) angiogenesis.Methods:The EMs rat model was established by autologous endometrial transplantation.The EMs rat models were randomly divided into 6 groups:model control group,Thalidomide control group,Danazol control group,YWT high dose group,YWT middle dose group,YWT low dose group and sham-operation control group.The VEGF and MVD expressions of both ectopic endometrium and normal endometrium were tested by immunohistochemical method after four weeks continuous administration.Results:After four weeks continuous administration of YWT,compared with model control group,the VEGF and MVD expressions of YWT high dose and middle dose groups were in low expression(P0.05).Compared with the model control group,the positive stained cell number of YWT high dose and middle dose groups was decreased significantly,and the stain was also reduced significantly.Conclusion:YWT has the function connected with the expressions of VEGF to inhibit EMs angiogenesis.The effect may be achieved through immunomodulation.
