CA-125-Werte bei entzündlicher Adnexerkrankung und Endometriose
Elevated CA-125 levels were observed in a patient with inflammatory adnexitis and a patient with endometriosis, with levels fluctuating post-operatively in the latter.

The paper reports serial measurements of the tumor marker CA-125 in two clinical cases: a 22-year-old during inflammatory adnexitis, where CA-125 was 478 kU/l and fell to 70 kU/l after inflammation subsided following laparoscopic assessment that largely excluded malignancy. In a second case, a 34-year-old with known endometriosis (10-year history) and acute suppurative fibrinous peritonitis had a CA-125 level of 205 kU/l, with postoperative values of about 165 kU/l on day 4, 273 kU/l on day 13, and 168 kU/l on day 26 despite no signs of inflammation. The main limitation is that these are single-patient case observations rather than a systematic study. This paper is centrally about endometriosis — it includes a case with long-standing endometriosis and reports the associated CA-125 levels during acute peritonitis and postoperative follow-up.
