A Prospective Study of Comparing Marvelon/GnRH-agonist Leuprorelin Acetate and Danazol in the Treatment of Endometriosis after Operation

Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the safety and efficacy of the oral contraceptive marvelon on preventing the recurrence of post-surgery endometriosis. Methods182 endometriosis patients after conservative surgery were divided into three groups: Marvelon group ,GnRH-agonist leuprorelin acetate group and Danazol group. Their pain score,endometriosis mass,reproductive hormone ,serum CA125 level and side effects were recorded. Results:The recurrence rate of Marvelon group and GnRH-agonist group were significantly lower than that of Danazol group and side effects of Marvelon group were lowest in the three groups. Reproductive hormone and serum CA 125 level were significantly degraded in all three groups. Conclusion:Compared with Danazol and GnRH-agonist,Marvelon is a drug with high efficacy and safety for endometriosis and should be recommended as first choice for preventing the recurrence of post-surgery endometriosis.
