A promising way to improve the quality of planting material is the forced mycorrhization of seedlings with mycorrhizal fungi. However, this method does not find wide application due to the difficulty in cultivating such microorganisms. In the present work, we have studied the kinetic and production parameters of growth and accumulation of mycelial biomass under stationary and dynamic conditions of submerged cultivation for two fungi: Cortinarius caperatus and Laccaria bicolor . The radial growth rate of C. caperatus on agar media is found to be significantly higher than that of L. bicolor . However, the cultivation on liquid nutrient media leads to the opposite result. This is due to the difference in colony structure. Glucose-yeast medium and dynamic conditions appear to be the most promising cultivation conditions. Under these conditions, the yield of biomass for L. bicolor and C. caperatus are 10.4 g/L and 4.3 g/L, respectively. The studies conducted allow the optimal conditions for cultivation of the individual strains of mycorrhiza-forming fungi to be selected. This enables to scale up the biotechnological production of viable mycelium.
