Effects of Xiao Chaihu Tang on the protein expression of Fas and Caspase-3 of ectopic endometrium in experimentally induced endometriosis in rats

Abstract

Aim: To explore the mechanism of Xiao Chaihu Tang on treatment endometriosis in rats. Methods: The rat model of endometriosis was established, Fas and Caspase-3 protein expression in each group of emdometrium and endometriotic tissue were observed by immunohistochemistry method. Results: The protein expression of Fas and Caspase-3 in the endometriotic tissue were higher than the emdometrium in Xiao Chaihu Tang group, while control group was opposed to Xiao Chaihu Tang group and the difference was not obvious in Danazol group. Conclusion:The mechanism of Xiao Chaihu Tang on treatment endometriosis may be to increase the Fas protein expression and apoptosis in endometriotic tissue.
