Bei Frauen, die sich aufgrund einer Endometriose einer Hysterektomie unterziehen müssen, stellt sich die Frage, ob zusätzlich ein oder beide Ovarien entfernt werden sollen. Ein Forscherteam aus Kanada untersuchte nun im Rahmen einer retrospektiven Studie, inwiefern die Entscheidung für oder gegen den Ovarerhalt die Art und Häufigkeit weiterer operativer Eingriffe sowie die spätere Inanspruchnahme von Schmerzbehandlungen beeinflusst.
