Abstract

Objective To study the expression of Cyclin A and P21 in patients with metrial gland diseases and their clinical significance. Methods Immunohistochemical S-P method was used to detect the expression of Cyclin A and P21 in 40 patients with al gland diseases and in 36 healthy subjects. Results Cyclin A expression levels in patients with metrial gland diseases were significantly higher than those of normal endometrial tissue, however, the expression levels of P21 in patients with metrial gland diseases were significantly lower than those of normalendometrial tissue(P0.05).The high expression of Cyclin A and the low expression of P21 in metrial gland diseases were related with infiltration depth of ectopic endometriosis and the size of adenomyoma, but were not related with dysmenorrhea and menorrhagia. Conclusion As cell cycle regulatory factors,Cyclin A and P21 might be involved in the pathogenesis and development of metrial gland diseases.
