Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical value of neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR)in endometriosis(EM).Methods 59 EM patients,61 cases with benign ovarian tumor and 64 healthy controls were enrolled in the study.Leukocytes and its subtypes were detected by automated hematology analyzerand their NLR were calculated.CA125 were determined by microparticle enzyme immunoassay. Results The levels of NLR and CA125 in EM group were obviously higher than those of benign ovarian tumors group and control group(P0.01),and there was no obvious difference between the latter two groups(P0.05).There were no obvious differences in NLR in different stages of EM(P0.05).But the level of CA125 in minimal-to-mild EM group was significantly lower than that of the moderate-to-severe group(P0.01).The positive rate of NLR in minimal-to-mild EM group was 89.7%,and the figure of CA125 stood at 31.0%,and the positive rate of combined markers(either NLR or CA125 was positive)93.1%.In moderate-to-severe group, the positive rates of NLR,CA125 and combined marker were 86.7%,63.3%,and 90% respectively;the positive rates of NLR and combined markers between different stages EM groups were no significant difference(P0.05).However,the statistical differences of positive rates of CA125 were quite significant between different stages of EM(P0.051).No obvious correlation between NLR,combined markers and the EM stages were observed(P0.05),but there was significant correlation between CA125 and stages of the disease(r=0.999,P0.01).Conclusion The determination of NLR may be a new indicator of inflammatory,Which has a good value on EM screening,This study indicates that abnormal inflammatory reaction and immunodeficiency are features of patients with EM.
