Expression of chemokine epithelial neutrophil-activating peptide-78 in adenomyosis

Objective:To explore the expression of epithelial neutrophil-activating peptide-78(ENA-78) in adenomyosis and the relationship between ENA-78 and the mechanism of ademomyosis.Methods:The expression of ENA-78 in the ectopic and eutopic endometria of 27 patients with adenomyosis and in the eutopic endometria of 18 patients with hysteromyoma were detected by immunohistochemistry.Results:①ENA-78 located in the cytoplasma of epithelial glands.②The expression levels of ENA-78 in the ectopic and eutopic endometria in adenomyosis group were significantly higher than those in control group(P0.05).③The expression of ENA-78 in the ectopic and eutopic endometria of adenomyosis had no difference between secretory phase and proliferative phase(P0.05).Conclusion:The expression of ENA-78 in the ectopic and eutopic endometria of adenomyosis increases,which suggests that ENA-78 may play a role in pathophysiology and progression of adenomyosis.
