Drawing from legal filings, investigative journalism, and university records across the U.S., U.K., Germany, France, and beyond, the study reveals recurring institutional patterns of protection: minimal sanctions, secrecy, retaliation against whistleblowers, and prioritization of reputation over accountability. The findings highlight systemic failures in self-governance and call for independent oversight and cultural reform in academia.
