This volume translates into English a scholarly 1969 German text that deals in an encyclopedic manner with disorders of the endometrium. Almost half the 1,100 references cited come from the foreign literature, affording the English-speaking reader a unique contact with the most important European work in the field. The author's approach is one of clinical, physiological, and pathological correlation, with strong emphasis on the principle that optimal evaluation of the endometrium demands the close cooperation of the clinician and the pathologist.
