The recent curative effect observation of levonorgestrel intrauterine sustained release system in treatment of adenomyosis

Objective: To observe the effect of levonorgestrel releasing intrauterine system( LNG- IUS) for adenomyosis treatment clinical analysis. Methods: 34 cases of adenomyosis uterus into before and after LNG- IUS were observed,including dysmenorrhea,uterine volume change,the level of serum CA123,menstrual status and adverse reaction. Results: The womb after three months of LNG- IUS, dysmenorrhea decreased after 3 months,no symptoms of dysmenorrhea after 6 months,the degree of dysmenorrhea scores was( 1. 30 ± 0. 16),( 2. 50 ± 0. 41 placed before)( P 0. 01). Uterine volume was smaller,6 months after the volume was( 152. 26 ± 13. 24) cm3, placed before the volume was( 160. 15 ± 35. 05) cm3. Serum CA125 value was decreased significantly,after 3 months of numerical was decreased to( 25. 36 ± 11. 27) U / ml,( 67. 32 ± 16. 84 U / ml placed before)( P 0. 01). Patients in menstrual quantity were decreased obviously after the in place,only the original menstruation after 3 months was( 28 ± 8) %( P 0. 01). There was not any adverse reactions in patients after LNG- IUS placement. Conclusion: LNG- IUS has obvious curative effect and high safety on adenomyosis.
