Abstract

This study explored the challenges of Arabic teachers in schools in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) during the implementation of online teaching. Through qualitative research based on questionnaires, this study demonstrated that the main challenges faced by teachers included the lack of readiness, lack of education subscription and educational subscription platforms, and students' and teachers' lack of resources for online learning. Several solutions to the challenges faced during online learning have been proposed, such as enhancing support from teachers and parents and ensuring adequate access to online resources. Consequently, these solutions may reduce the learning loss experienced during online learning. Nonetheless, future research should delve deeper into the experiences of language teachers during the pandemic using qualitative interviews.
