The expression of nerve fibers in eutopic endometrium and ectopic endometrium of endometriosis

Objective To explore the expression of nerve fibers in eutopic endometrium and ectopic endometrium of endometriosis,and observe the relationship of the expression of nerve fiber and the pelvic pain.Methods Endometrial tissues were prepared from 55 patients who were diagnosed with endometriosis under laparoscope and 30 patients who were diagnosed as uterine fibroids or CINⅢ.The patients in the study group were divided into two groups according to VAS score:38 cases in pain group,and 17 cases in non-pain group.The expressions of nerve fibers in eutopic endometrium and ectopic endometrium were examined by immunohistochemical staining and analyzed statistically.Results The expressions of nerve fibers in eutopic endometrium and ectopic endometrium of patients with endometriosis were significantly higher than patients without endometriosis(t=9.62,P 0.05; t =8.92,P 0.05).The expressions of nerve fibers in eutopic endometrium and ectopic endometrium of patients with pain were significantly higher than patients without pain(t=8.09,P0.05; t=4.96,P0.05).The expressions of nerve fibers were positively correlated with the stage of pain(r=0.546,P =0.000).Conclusion The expression of nerve fibers had a significant increase in eutopic endometrium and ectopic endometrium of patients with endometriosis.At the same time,its increased expression had a close relationship with the pelvic pain.
