Abstract
This scoping review will be conducted in accordance with the methodology proposed by the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) for scoping reviews. The reporting of this review will follow the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR). It aims is to map and synthesize the available evidence on central sensitization in women with endometriosis, focusing on assessment methods, reported prevalence, clinical associations, and research gaps. This scoping review will provide a comprehensive overview of how central sensitization is conceptualized and measured in endometriosis, identifying methodological gaps and informing future research directions. The findings are hypothesis-generating and do not establish causal relationships.
