Abstract
Objective: To discuss the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of endometriosis of perineum. Methods: Fifty-nine cases with endometriosis of perineum which encroached upon the sphincter ani were collected, including 3 cases treated with medicine and 56 cases treated with surgery. Results: The endometriosis of perineum accounted for 0.88 % of all endometriosis in the same period. The typical clinical feature was vaginal delivery and perineotomy histories. The disease could be controlled but could not be removed by medicine. Vaginorectal fistula after surgery formed in one case among all surgery cases and was closed several months after dressing change. There was no relapse during the period of follow-up by 2~8 years. Conclusion: Correct diagnosis can be made by typical history and vaginal-rectal touch. Excision of endometriosis lesion is the main therapy method. Delivery, perineotomy and normative suture are the key of prevention.
