Abstract

Aim:To investigate the expression of uPA and uPAR in endometrium tissue of endometriosis. Methods:Immunohistochemistry method was used to detect the expressions of uPA and uPAR protein in 40 cases of ectopic endometrium,40 cases of eutopic endometrium, and 30 cases of normal endometrium without endometriosis. Results:uPA and uPAR protein were found in stromaland cells and epithelial cells from ecpotic, eutopic and normal endometrium. The positive rate of uPA protein in stromal cells of ecpotic endometrium was 85.0%,higher than that of 60.0% in epithelial cells of ecpotic endometrium(χ2=6.72,P0.05),and higher than those of 57.5% and 40.0% in stromal cells of eutopic endometrium and normal endometrium(χ2=16.40,15.41,P0.05).The positive rate of uPAR in epithelial cells of ectopic endometrium was 87.5%,higher than that of 40.0% in stomal cell of ecpotic endometrium(χ2=10.12,P0.05),and also higher than those of 65.0% and 46.7% in epithelial cells of eutopic and normal endometrium(χ2=5.59,13.61,P0.05).The expression of uPA in endometriotic stromal cells had a positive relationship with the expression of uPAR in endometriotic epithelial cells(rp=0.327,P0.05).Conclusion:Overexpression of uPA in endometriotic stromal cells and uPAR protein in endometriotic epithelial cells might be of importance for the migratory, adherance, invasion and growth of ectopic endometrium.
