Abstract

Endometriosis is common in women of fertile age leading to pelvic Pain and infertility. It is necessary to characterize imaging findings of endometriosis and to thoroughly look for its possible extension, this is critical when surgical treatment is being contemplated. Magnetic resonance Imaging gives accurate mapping of disease. Laparoscopy is considered to be the gold standard for staging of endometriosis. In this prospective study we will study and compare findings of MRI and Laparoscopy for the diagnosis and prognosis in cases of pelvic endometriosis as well as assess role of non-invasive modality MRI in staging of endometriosis.
