Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical significance of interleukin-10 (IL-10) and interleukin-13 (IL-13) in endometriosis and infertility. Methods:The contents of IL-10 and IL-13 in peritoneal fluid were examined in 38 cases of endometriosis and infertility group and in 38 cases of control group by ELISA assay, and so did the concentration in the serum before operation. Results:IL-10 were measured, but no differences not only in introobdominal fluid between EMS(15.8±12.9) pg/ml or control (10.6±5.7)pg/ml but also in the serum between EMS(13.8±9.9)pg/ml or control (8.6±5.7)pg/ml were seen(P0.05);But it was found that endometriosis and infertility group had significantly lower amounts of IL-13 (95 ± 9.8)pg/ml in peritoneal fluid and (78±7.6)pg/ml in the serum, compared with control group (115 ±30)pg/ml in peritoneal fluid and (78±7.6)pg/ml in the serum respectively(P 0.01). Conclusion:In patients with endometriosis and infertility, endometriosis cell may suppress the secrete of IL-13,which therefore creates microenvironment of immune suppression and contribute to the disturbed immune regulation in patients with endometriosis and infertility.
