This study found significantly higher beta-endorphin (β-EP) levels in hares with endometriosis-associated infertility (EAI) compared to those with endometriosis alone, suggesting β-EP's potential role in EAI.

Abstract
In order to find out the possible function of Beta-endorphin(β-EP) in the aetiology of endometriosis-associated-infertility(EAI) and to develop a new way to treat the EAI, we measured the concentration of β-EP in the blood of EAI and endometriosis(EMT) hares. First, we detected the concentration of β-EP before and after the making model. There is a significantly high level of β-EP in EAI and EMT hares contrast to that before the making model. We also found the level of β-EP in EAI hares is higher than the EMT hares(P0 05). β-EP maybe is one of the possible causes which result in the EAI.
