The majority was 25 years or older, completed secondary school, never married and single, reported to have main (82%) and occasional (71%) male partners and less than half had main (40%) and occasional (27%) female partners in past six months. Over a fourth reported not using a condom at last anal sex with a man and about a half — at last anal or vaginal sex with woman. Significant associations were found for men, having a paid partner in the past year, alcohol use in the past week, exposure of HIV services and HIV tested. This paper provides data about the behavioral factors about MSM in the Tajikistan and discusses the need for preventive programs for MSM.
