Abstract

Reviews ‘The art of insubordination: How to dissent & defy effectively’ by Todd B. Kashdan. Notes the importance of dissent, minority opinion, and resistance to conformity, where appropriate. Proposes a 'rebellion management theory' as an analog to error management theory. To succeed, would-be rebels must identity promising contexts and avoid failed or destructive rebellions. Kashdan't book-length treatment lacks nuance in this regard.
