Abstract
Tourism drives many economies; thus, emerging nations emphasize it. Before the pandemic, Chinese tourists increased in Asia and global tourism. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has ruined the tourism industry. Tourism industry will be benefited when China lifts travel restrictions. This research targets how to attract Chinese visitors once travel restrictions are lifted. Our exploratory study collected data form Chinese tourism industry experts in designing tours for Chinese tourists visiting other Asian countries using snowball sampling. Sri Lanka, Maldives, and Thailand were the focus countries for the study. Language, technology, and information availability are important to capture the Chines tourists. Current industrial decisions require a lot of Chinese legislation and regulatory data. Countries wanting Chinese visitors should have reliable transportation. The findings show that the government of this nation and China must collaborate to support the tourism industry.
