Abstract
Abstract Endometriosis can dramatically impact a woman’s quality of life in various ways, including painful menses, infertility, and pelvic pain. Although endometriosis is a common concern for women of reproductive age, its etiology is uncertain. This chapter discusses the process of diagnosing endometriosis and various options for treatment of the disease and its accompanying symptoms. Interventions discussed include medications, surgery, physical therapy, mind–body techniques, acupuncture, and herbal medicine.
