Abstract

Even though there is general recognition of the importance of a knowledge-based economy and the need for lifelong learning, the introduction of a digital learning system during the Covid-19 pandemic faced challenges in terms of its adoption and adaptation. The worldwide crisis caused significant disruptions to traditional methods of learning, but it also opened possibilities for innovative approaches in educational settings. An in-depth interview with learning and development (L&D) professionals from four prominent IT companies in India was conducted and analyzed through NVivo software. Using content analysis, the software helped to identify the trend in the data and recognize the factors that helped in driving the necessary changes by effectively motivating and engaging learners through new approaches. A conceptual model (PULP-Pandemic ushered learning practice) provided the factors that could engage the learners to provide experiential learning. These factors could be used for further research in this domain.
