Abstract

The present article provides a thorough examination of innovationology, a groundbreaking transdisciplinary field of study that is revolutionizing the concepts and methods associated with innovation, economic growth, and worldwide sustainable transformation. This work provides unparalleled insights into the transformative potential of innovationology, drawing on a comprehensive review of literature across diverse fields such as development economics, sustainability science, social entrepreneurship, transition studies, complexity theory, decolonial thought, and design thinking. In presenting innovationology as a force for systemic, multidimensional economic change, the paper explores the strong theoretical underpinnings, creative approaches, and elite case studies that highlight the groundbreaking science's extraordinary influence. Through a rigorous, evidence-based examination, the author provides policymakers, researchers, and practitioners with a comprehensive understanding of innovationology's capacity to redefine the principles and practices of wealth creation, inclusive growth, sustainable finance, and community-centric entrepreneurship. Anchored in real-world case studies from the Global North and South, the article demonstrates innovationology's potential to drive progress towards a more equitable, resilient, and prosperous global economy.
