Abstract

Objective To compare the diagnostic value for adenomyosis and leiomyoma of uterus with transvaginal and trandasbdominal ultrasound. Methods Two doctors with equal qualification detected respectively 162 patients by transvaginal ultrasonography(TVU) or transabdominal ultrasonography(TAU) in double blind method. Results The detection rate of 121 patients with leiomyoma of uterus(including single,multi-leiomyoma and complicating adenomyosis),165 patients with adenomyosis focus and 50 patients with adenomoyosis(including complicating adenomyosis) had statistical difference between TVU and TAU groups(P0.05).Conclusion The diagnostic value of TVU is higher than that of transabdominal ultrasound.
