Abstract

The surgical management of endometriosis involves the removal of identifiable endometriotic deposits. This may be carried out either by excision or ablation.1 Although it is debatable as to which method is considered to be superior, both require the use of cutting and coagulation. In order to perform such surgery an energy source is required.
