AI-generated deep summary by claude@2026-06, 2026-06-07 · read from full text

This chapter describes laparoscopic uterine suspension procedures, focusing on indications for dyspareunia due to severe uterine retroversion without other cul-de-sac disease, and on selected severe endometriosis cases involving the cul-de-sac and rectum. It explains that at laparoscopy, adhesions, endometriosis, and hydrosalpinx can be addressed and the uterine suspension performed during the same operation. The chapter frames its recommendations as an operative approach and does not present original patient outcome data within the provided text, limiting the ability to quantify results. This paper is centrally about endometriosis — it specifically discusses uterine suspension as a treatment option for selected severe endometriosis involving the cul-de-sac and rectum.

Abstract

Uterine suspension is indicated for dyspareunia secondary to severe uterine retroversion in the absence of other cul-de-sac disease and for selected cases of severe endometriosis involving the cul-de-sac and rectum. At laparoscopy, adhesions, endometriosis, and hydrosalpinx can be corrected and the uterine suspension accomplished during the same operation. Preview Unable to display preview. Download preview PDF.
