Determination of Beta HcG in vaginal fluid washings in case of Premature ruptures of membrane

Objective: To evaluate the diagnostic value of the qualitative Beta HcG in Vaginal washings In Patients of Pre Mature Rupture of Membranes. Type of study: Prospective Cross-Sectional Study Settings: : Department of Obs & Gynecology DHQ Teaching Hospital Bahawalnagar. Material: and Methods: This study was performed on 120 Patients which were divided in two groups. Both groups have pregnant ladies of gestational age between 28-37weeks of gestation. The group A are the pregnant ladies with history of premature Rupture of Membranes. While group B is the pregnant ladies without premature Rupture of Membranes. Their vaginal washings were taken by instilling 3cc normal saline into vagina and then aspirated with same syringe. Beta HcG test was performed with urine pregnancy strip and consider positive if double line appears which means presence of amniotic fluid in vagina while single line means no amniotic fluid.it was sensitive to 5mIU/ml. their data was collected for study after their informed consent. Results: : Application of the Beta HcG test brings the positive results among the experimental group.
