Expression and significance of RECK and MMP-9 in endometriosis

Objective:To investigate the expression and significance of RECK and MMP-9in ectopic and eutopic endometrium in patients with endometriosis,and to explore the mechanism in the endometriosis.Methods:Immunochemical method was used to determine the expression of RECK and MMP-9 in 30 cases of eutopic and ectopic endometrium with endometriosis and 30 cases of endometrium without endometriosis.Results:The positive expression RECK were significantly lower than in normal endometrium (P0.05).The protein expression levels of MMP-9 in endometriosis were significantly higher than in normal endometrium (P0.05).RECK expression was negatively related to MMP-9 expression(r=-0.371 P0.05).Conclusion:The decreased expression of RECK and the increased expression of MMP-9 protein may be play an important role in the pathogenesis of endometriosis.
