Endometriosis is a chronic inflammatory disease characterized by endometrial tissue outside the uterus. It affects at least 10% of women with persistent pelvic pain. This study aimed to compare various methods to obtain rat models of endometriosis. All procedures in this experiment were reviewed and approved by the InstitutionalAnimalCareandUseCommitteeofDLBS.TheresearchwasconductedinDLBSfacilitiesthat AAALACInternationalhasaccredited. The preliminary study was conducted on three female Wistar rats in the pro-estrus stage. Laparotomy was performedusingaseptictechniquethroughlineaalbaorflankincision.Theuterinetissueweretransplantedin theintestinemesentery,abdominalwall,andundertherenalcapsuleinthesameanimal.Ratswereeuthanized afterthirtydaysandtissuesampleswerecollectedforhistologicalexamination. Thirtyfemaleratswereusedinthemainstudy.Theuterinetissuewastransplantedtotheabdominalwall through linea alba incision. Serum interleukin 6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor (TNF-), histological, and cysts sizeweremeasured. In the preliminary study, all methods of uterine tissue transplantation were successful
