Abstract

Objective: To discuss the application value of the joint detection of serum follistatin(FS) and carbohydrate antigen125(CA125) in the differential diagnosis of ovarian endometriosis and ovarian benign tumor. Methods: Thirty-eight patients with ovarian endometriosis and 36 patients with ovarian benign tumor in our hospital were selected and divided into an ectopic group and a benign group and the expression levels of FS and CA125 in serum determined by an electrochemical luminescence immunoassay were statistically analyzed. Results: The expression levels of FS and CA125 was higher in the ectopic group than in the benign group(P0.05). The sensitivity, the specificity and the accuracy to the differential diagnosis of the ovarian endometriosis and the ovarian benign tumor were 61.36%, 86.54% and 84.51% when FS level was at 1.53 mg/L, and 83.32%, 85.18% and 90.25%, when CA125 level was at 25.42 U/ml and 93.26%, 94.41% and 97.14% when the joint detection was used in the differential diagnosis, respectively. The sequence of three detection methods in the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy was the joint detection of FS and CA125 CA125 detection FS detection(P0.05). Conclusion: FS and CA125 levels can be used as important reference indexes for the differential diagnosis of ovarian endometriosis and benign tumor, while the joint detection shows higher sensitivity, specificity and accuracy and is worthy of further clinical promotion.
