Abstract

Hepatic endometriosis is very rare, with approximately seven cases reported in the literature. This report concerns the clinical diagnosis of hepatic endometriosis in an elderly woman. The patient's history was examined over a 20-year period providing a probable pathological diagnosis. The clinico-pathological features are discussed, and endometrial tissue dissemination is addressed. The research for this report uncovered the possibility of a connection between certain selective estrogen receptor modulator drugs and hepatic endometriosis.
