Abstract
Abstract The hexagonal-shaped single-patch antenna and its 10×10 massive MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) antenna array is designed for wireless network applications. Polyimide, with a dielectric constant of 3.5 and thickness of 0.007 mm, is the material utilized for the substrate. The rectangular microstrip patch antenna used to create the massive MIMO antenna array is incredibly small, measuring 0.0792mm × 0.15mm × 0.007mm in size. For resonating frequency, a number of performance metrics are computed, including reflection coefficient, antenna gain, bandwidth, VSWR, antenna efficiency, ECC, and gain diversity. The proposed massive MIMO antenna array has a return loss of less than − 10 dB and covers a very large bandwidth i.e., 67.5 GHz. For the resonant frequency band, the proposed array has a maximum attainable antenna gain is 20.8 dB, and its antenna efficiency is 86%. The proposed massive MIMO antenna array can work well for a variety of terahertz applications because of its enhanced characteristics.
