Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Miconazole Nitrate Vaginal Soft Capsules versus Baofukang suppository or nystatin suppository for colpomycosis.METHODS:120 patients with colpomycosis were randomly assigned to receive miconazole nitrate vaginal soft capsules vaginally once a day for 8 days(one course of treatment) vs.Baofukang suppository vaginally once a day for 10 consecutive days(one course) or nystatin suppository once(a granule) every 7 days(one course) for two courses.RESULTS:The total clinical effective rates in Baofukang suppository group, nystatin suppository group and miconazole nitrate vaginal soft capsules group were 77.5%,87.5% and 95.0%,respectively.CONCLUSION:Miconazole nitrate vaginal soft capsule treatment is characterized by fast action, high efficacy and mild toxicity and the low recurrence in patients with colpomycosis thus it is one of the most effective therapies for colpomycosis and hence it is worthy of clinical recommendation.
