Abstract

Etwa 2 bis 6% aller Frauen im reproduktiven Alter leiden an einer Endometriose. Diese Erkrankung zeichnet sich durch eine chronische Entzündung aus und beeinträchtigt die Fertilität. Drohen Frauen mit einer Endometriose auch während einer Schwangerschaft, peri- bzw. postpartal überproportional häufig schwere Komplikationen? Diese Fragestellung untersuchte ein kanadisches Forscherteam mithilfe einer retrospektiven Bevölkerungsstudie.
