Abstract
【Objective】 To study the role and significant of serum erythropoietin(EPO) and epithelial neutrophil-activating peptide-78(ENA-78) in patient with endometriosis.【Methods】 Serum concentrations of EPO and ENA-78 were measured by means of enzyme-linked immunosobent assay(ELISA) in 34 patients with endometriosis(12 in stages I~II and 22 in stages Ⅲ~IV) and in 30 women without endometriosis. And the relationship between the levels of EPO and ENA-78 in patient with endometriosis was analyzed.【Results】 The serum levels of EPO and ENAre 78 in women with endometriosis were significantly higher than that in control group(P 0.05);there were no significant differences in the serum levels of EPO between stage I~Ⅱand Ⅲ~IV(P 0.05);the ENA-78 concentrations of serum in stage Ⅲ~IV were significantly higher than those in stage I~Ⅱ(P 0.05);the were no obvious correlations in serum EPO and ENA-78 in patient with endometriosis.【Conclusion】 EPO and ENA-78 involved in the pathogenesis of endometriosis.
