Abstract
Objective
To probe into the clinical application value of nimodipine assisted latanoprost in the treatment of primary open angle glaucoma.
Methods
From January 2017 to December 2018, 100 patients (100 eyes) with primary open angle glaucoma in our hospital were selected as subjects. The patients were randomly divided into observation group with 50 cases (50 eyes) and control group with 50 cases (50 eyes). The patients in the control group were treated with latanoprost, and the patients in the observation group were treated with nimodipine on the basis of the control group. The clinical treatment, blood flow of optic disk lamina cribrosa, and the changes of clinical indicators of the patients in the two groups were compared and analyzed.
Results
The total effective rate of clinical treatment in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group [94.00% (47/50) vs.78.00% (39/50)], with statistically significant difference (P<0.05). After treatment, the red blood cell migration rate in the observation group was (1.10±0.22)%, blood flow velocity was (186.53±29.76) mm/s, blood flow was (16.17±2.72) L/min, which were all higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of erythropoietin, soluble CD44, and endothelin-1 were (7.10±0.82) mU/ml, (12.34±2.34) ng/ml, and (42.61±5.37) ng/L, which were all lower than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05).
Conclusion
Nimodipine assisted latanoprost have great significance for the improvement of clinical treatment effect for patients with primary open angle glaucoma.
