Abstract

Objective To discuss the clinical effect of total vaginal hysterectomy for non-prolapsed.Method 30 women admitted from January 2008 to January 2010 were performed total transvaginal hysterectomy,including 15 of refractory functional uterine bleeding,12 of uterine fibroids and 3 of adenomyosis.Results All cases underwent the operation successfully without conversion to open surgery.No intestinal canal injury and ureter injury occurred.4 cases were carried out unilateral adnexectomy simultaneously.The operation time was 90 to 150 minutes(average 120 minutes) and intra-operative blood loss was 200 to 350ml(average 275ml).All cases discharged from hospital in 5 to 7 days after the operation.The further consultation result show vaginal stump cured well without granulation tissue.Conclusion Total transvaginal hysterectomy is safe,reliable and mini-invasive for patients with small uterus and non-adhesive pelvic cavity.
