Covid-19 Pandemic, Corporate Entrepreneurship, and Transformational Leadership Impact on Newspaper Business Model Innovation

Abstract
This research examines the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the newspaper business model innovation (BMI). The results of this study prove that the impact of the pandemic has a positive effect on BMI. The impact of the pandemic has also been shown to have a positive influence on newspapers corporate entrepreneurship. The research also proves the positive influence of corporate entrepreneurship on BMI. However, relationship between transformational leadership and BMI was not proven in this study. On the other hand, the moderator role of organization inertia in strengthening the relationship between transformational leadership and BMI, also not proven. This research is a research using mixed methods. The research was conducted by spreading 50 samples to national and local newspaper organizations in Indonesia. The study also used an interview method involving five national and local newspaper head officials. This research was also conducted through a focus group discussion (FGD) with five leaders of the Indonesian press company union (SPS). All data studied were processed using structural model analysis (SEM) through the SmartPLS 3.0 application. The purpose of this study was to determine the direct impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on newspaper business model innovation.
