Effect of Levonorgestrel Releasing Intrauterine Device Placed in Ovarian Endometriosis After Laparoscopic Operations

Objective To discuss the effect of levonorgestrel releasing intrauterine device(LNG-IUD) placed in ovarian endometriosis after laparoscopic operations.Methods By observing the curative effect and adverse effect on 150 LNG-IUD placed in 76 after laparoscopic operations cases of ovarian endometriosis.Results The endometrium before the place of LNG-IUS was significantly thinner,the menstrual blood volume and dysmenorrhea VAS score before the place of LNG-IUS were shortened obviously than those in 3,6,12 months after the place of LNG-IUS.The menstrual period in 3 months after the place of LNG-IUS was significantly longer than that before the place of LNG-IUS.The menstrual period in 3,6,12 months after the place of LNG-IUS were shortened obviously than that before the place of LNG-IUS.The rate of recurrence during 12 months follow-up was 14.7%.Iregular bleeding is the main side effects.Conclusions LNG-IUS placed in ovarian endometriosis after laparoscopic operations can reduce symptoms and signs,and delays disease recurence.
