Abstract
Abstract The phenomenon of segmentation of demand and supply of the skilled talent is directly related to mismatch of vocational education, and mismatches of education and skill are important aspects. Based on the four-year data of CFPS from 2014 to 2020, Stata14.0 was adopted to measure the incidence of education mismatch and skill mismatch based on vocational education and the M-logit model was adopted to analyze the differences of influencing factors. The results show that indicators such as the regional difference, the marital status, and the specific age own basically no effect on the impact of education mismatch or skill mismatch, and the gender , the industry type, and the enterprise’s type have obvious effects on the cross-occurrence of education mismatch and skill mismatch, and generally show the variability of individual characteristics and job characteristics. The contribution of this study is to adopt the M-logit model to empirically examine the variability of factors influencing the occurrence of education mismatch and skill mismatch among laborers taking vocational education in China.
