Abstract
Endometriosis-associated ovarian cancer (EAOC) characterized by early diagnosis and early onset around 50 years is typically associated with a better prognosis compared to other ovarian cancer subtypes. The pathogenesis of EAOC is still unclear, however investigators have suggested that endometriosis (EMs) is associated with a higher risk of ovarian endometrial cancer and clear cell carcinoma. The EAOC can be caused by mutations in the ARID1A, the HNF and miRNAs. In addition, EAOC is likely associated with the statue of estrogen and oxidative stress, etc.
