Effect of Caulis Sargentodoxae Formula on MMP-2 expression in endometriosis

Objective To explore the inhibit effect of Caulis Sargentodoxae Formula on the ectopic endometrium.Methods The model of endometriosis was established by auto-transplantion.The animal were divided randomly into 2 groups : Caulis Sargentodoxae Formula group and control group.After continuous treatment for 21 d,examined by the me hods of histology and immunohisto chemistry.Results The ectopic endometrium growing in the abdominal wall formed a cystic mass with a large cavity containing much mucus.It shows edanendom etrial structure similar to that of normal endometrium.Conclusion Caulis Sargentodoxae Formula can hold-back the expression of MMP-2 in ectopic endometrium,it can inhibit the growth of the ectopic endometrium.
