Effect of Mifepristone and Gestrinone as Subsidiary Treatment of Postoperative Endometriosis

Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical effect and side effect of mifepristone and gestrinone as a subsidiary treatment of endometriosis after conservative operation.Methods 100 women with endometriosis after conservative surgery were randomly divided into two groups:mifepristone group( 50 cases,mifepristone 10mg/d,6 months );gestrinone group (50 cases,gestrinone 2.5mg,twice a week,6 months).All of them were regularly followed up to compare the clinical effect and side effect of the two groups.Results The remission of symptoms of dysmenorrhea in varying degree were seen in patients of these two groups.The complete remission rates in patients of mifepristone and gestrinone groups were 64.0% and 56.0% respectively.Respectively.The pregnancy rates were 50.0% and 43.8% respectively.There was no significantly difference between the two groups.But side effects of mifepristone was significantly less than that of gestrinone.Conclusion It could have good treatment effect to treat endometriosis when conservative operation combined with mifepristone or gestrinone.
