Also, it must be emphasized that an abundant supply of sulfur also inhibits the flow of physiological and biochemical processes in the plant body. It should be noted that the irrigated soils of the Republic of Uzbekistan are deficient in sulfur, mainly due to changes in the range and reduction of sulfur-containing mineral fertilizers. In addition, the dynamics of sulfur content on irrigated oasis soils of this Republic and its effect on plants have remained virtually unexplored. In this article, the authors studied the effect of sulfur in the organs of the prickly artichoke depending on the level of sulfur nutrition and soil conditions in the regions of Uzbekistan. Researchers have studied the content and productivity of sulfur in various organs of the prickly artichoke and the influence of this nutrient in the absorption and consumption of nitrogen by this plant. Also, determining the optimal ratios of nitrogen to sulfur and, as a final result, developing a cultivation technology that will help reduce the content of nitrates in tissues and increase the production of environmentally friendly products by this crop in various soil conditions.
