Abstract

Reference to the literature is made in an account of extragenital external endometriosis, with particular attention to intestinal varieties. A case of ovarian and appendicular endometriosis with the clinical picture of acute abdomen is presented. Lastly, an evaluation is made of the views put forward concerning the aetiopathogenesis of this conditions.
