Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical feature and management of rectal endometriosis.Methods:A ret- rospective study was carried out to analysis the clinical data of 32 women with rectal endometriosis and the result of surgical therapy.Results:Surgical therapies were performed for all of 32 women with rectal endometriosis.Of these 32 women,12 had disc resection of the endometriotic lesion and 20 had Dixon's operation;Meantime,8 women un- derwent hysterectomy for adenomyosis and 6 had cystectomy for endometrioma.The average hospital day was 30.2±5.6 d.There was no complication such as pelvic infection or fistula formation.26 patients have been followed up for a period of 1~10 years,62.5% cured,18.8% improved.The pregnancy rate after surgery in 7 infertile women was 57.1%.Conclusions:It is an effective and safe method to resect the endometriotic lesions inside the rectum that can cure the disease and improve the fertility ability for the women.
