Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of different therapy for ovary endometriotic cysts on the outcome of ART.Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on 153 infertile patients(altogether 180 cycles) with ovary endometriotic cysts following ART treatment in Xiangya Hospital from Jun.2004 to Apr.2008.According to different COH,they were divided into 3 groups, then according to different operating ways,we subdivide prolonged therapy group into the puncture group, the surgery group and the surgery + puncture group. Then the hormone level, the requirement to Gn,the days of COH,the number of oocytes obtained, the fertilization rate, the cleavage rate, the implantation rate and the clinical pregnancy rate were analyzed. Results The time of COH in improved short therapy group was 10.06±2.65d,which was shorter than the other groups(P0.05).The implantation rate(38.81%)and clinical pregnancy rate(60.61%) of prolonged therapy group was higher compared to the improved short therapy and long therapy groups(P0.05).There was no significant difference in pregnancy rate between puncture group and surgery group, but their pregnancy rate was obviously higher than the surgery + puncture group(P0.05).Conclusion For infertile patients with the ovary endometriotic cysts,we may implement the cysts puncture or operation before ART,then use the improved prolonged therapy of COH to obtain good pregnancy result.
